Two Mills Independent Adult Education

Essex Countryside & Wildlife Course

In the out & about summer visits term you gain hands on experience of identifying species in the countryside, and recognising aspects of historic buildings.

In the Autumn and Spring terms in the comfortable classroom setting of the Conference Room at Moulsham Mill the tutor gives illustrated talks, but also supplies plant samples, historic & other materials to enable you to develop a familiarity with identification skills.

Refreshments at mid-evening are available in the attached class kitchen. The class is socially friendly to allow students to support each other whilst developing their identification skills, so class members often talk of it as a club.

Annual Day Out

Course members relaxing during a refreshment break during the very popular Annual Day Out trip, where each year the course travels to a more distant part of Essex to investigate its natural history & social history.
Lunch & tea breaks are an important part of this annual trip. Class members often bring their partner, a family member or friend for this special outing.
